Chamber Music Program

 

Tizmoret Shoshana offers concentrations in chamber music. Chamber music instruction take place in small groups, ensembles, individual sessions and master classes. Musicians can also study history, composition, theory, sight-singing, ear-training and conducting. Public performances are integral to the program, with regularly scheduled faculty and student concerts, readings and master classes. Tizmoret Shoshana often hosts high-profile guest artists. The retreat culminates with an evening gala concert, dramatic performance, readings and art show.

Chamber Music (strings, woodwinds, piano)

The music program focuses on repertoire from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary periods, with an emphasis on ensemble skills and musical expression. Time is available for individual practice and coaching, and work on solo repertoire.  Coaching sessions,  masterclasses and professional performances are given by guest artists and artists-in-residence.

  • 2012 to 2013: Zina Schiff - violin soloist and recording artist
  • 2006, 2007, 2014: Ina-Esther Joost - principal cellist, Jerusalem Symphony
