Group Warm-Up

The group warm-up serves as a starting point for the day’s activities. Sample warm –up activities may include a dramatic improvisation, a vocal exercise, a brief writing assignment, yoga, or other movement exercise. This morning time creates a spirited cohesion throughout Tizmoret, uniting the diverse group of artists.

Master Classes

given by guest artists and/or artists-in-residence, supplement the program, providing a forum for active creative interchange of ideas.

Major Art Area

Each student in Tizmoret Shoshana concentrates in one of six areas: chamber music, vocal music, drama / puppetry, creative writing, dance, or visual and environmental art.

Workshop

In addition to their individual concentration, workshops give participants an opportunity to explore other art forms.

Recreation

The Tizmoret Shoshana campus contains hiking trails and a lake. Girls have  the opportunity to swim in the Olympic-sized pool, hike and participate in other outdoor activities. Walking, running, and games give the girls needed breaks from the intensive artistic involvement. There is also a challenging ropes course.

Shiurim

Daily inter-active Shiurim are led by outstanding Torah educators on various Torah topics. Past themes have included Megillat Ruth, Yerushalayim and Tehillim.

Group Evening Actvities

The evening brings all the participants together for informal and structured activities such as storytelling and improvisations as well as guest speakers and artists.
